Meet Our Three ParaBoss Course Winners – Steph Nielsen, Lara Caelli and Lisa Chandler!

This poem by Steph Nielsen, a sheep producer and rural merchandise sales representative, won a free enrolment into the ParaBoss Certificate in Sheep Parasite Management. Steph is joined by our other two winners, Lara Caelli and Lisa Chandler.

Lara Caelli said, “I’m super excited to get into the course”. Lara has a background in Animal Science and has lifelong sheep experience, growing up on a sheep, cattle and cropping property. More recently, she has worked alongside veterinarians in disease and parasite investigations to help producers diagnose, manage and prevent issues. “I definitely think the ParaBoss Certificate in Sheep Parasite Management will help build on the knowledge I have. I know others who have completed the course and have heard great reviews, so look forward to finding out what I will learn myself,” Lara said.

Lara is confident the ParaBoss Certificate will enable her to better understand parasite management issues and provide better advice to producers she works with in the future. Lara is also a ParaBoss Certified WEC provider.

Lisa Chandler echoes the excitement of our other winners. Lisa, who has a veterinary science degree and a strong interest in sheep and parasites, said,  “I am hoping by completing the ParaBoss Certificate that my knowledge will be consolidated and will expand to include all states of Australia. It will give me confidence to offer local farmers help and advice about parasite management and allow them to make informed choices about the drench they choose and when to use it. I feel this course will provide me with the tools and skills to do this.”
