Liver Fluke
9 April, 2024 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Join the ParaBoss extension team as we deep dive into a topic we have yet to cover in a webinar, Liver Fluke. The past seasons have created a perfect environment for liver fluke to spread, with wetter than average seasons and an increase in animal movements liver fluke may be moving into new areas.
Dr Nichola Calvani from the University of Sydney will be our presenter, and she will cover:
- Liver fluke biology, distribution and treatment options with particular focus on:
- Aspects of chemical resistance to liver fluke- what do we know and what is still a mystery?
- Where are liver fluke located- how have they changed on the back of wetter than average seasons and the increase in trading stock and wildlife movements.
- MLA MSA Insights- what can this data tell us – how much does the condemnation of organs and decreased carcass quality cost us?
We look forward to you joining us for what will be an informative overview, along with some excellent signposts to tools that you can use.
There will be ample time for questions, so we encourage you to ask.
As always, we encourage you to send in any questions to extension@paraboss.com.au or ask them real-time in the webinar!
